ייצור תרבות בזמן מגפת הקורונה

המחקר בוחן את התפתחותן של יוזמות תרבות בשכונת העיר העתיקה בבאר שבע בתקופת התפרצות מגפת הקורונה בישראל, בין מרץ לאוקטובר 2020 . המאמר מבוסס על אתנוגרפיה ביקורתית, ומתמקד בשלושה מיזמים שהתגבשו בשכונה במהלך תקופה זו: הקראת מחזות, צילום מבוים בהשראת ציורים ומיזם פופ־ אפ קולינרי. מן הממצאים עולים מאפיינים דומים בין שלושת המיזמים הנוגעים לצורה ולתוכן בתהליכי הייצור והצריכה שלהם. על פי הפרשנות המוצעת, ברובד הגלוי נוצרו שלושת המיזמים כסימולציות לפרקטיקות המזוהות עם מרחבי תרבות הפנאי שנעלמו בחטף מהמרחב הציבורי בתקופת התפרצות המגפה — התאטרון, המוזאון והמסעדה. ברובד הסמוי ביטאו המיזמים ביקורת תרבות על סוגיות חברתיות מגוונות שכללה התייחסות למאפיינים של מסחור, רידוד וניכור, שזוהו עם מנגנוני הייצור והצריכה המסורתיים אשר מאפיינים את דפוסי הייצור והצריכה בקפיטליזם המאוחר. מסקנות המחקר ניזונות מתובנות תאורטיות ומעשיות הקשורות להשפעת הסגרים על יצירתיות ועל תהליכי הייצור והביטוי הייחודיים של תרבות הפנאי וצריכתה בקפיטליזם המאוחר.
