מאמר זה עוסק באיורים שנוצרו בעקבות זוועות שבת השבעה באוקטובר,וכרפלקציה מיידית אליהן. האיורים מבקשים להמחיש את גודל האסון שהתחוללבאותה שבת. במאמר עומדות לדיון פרשני עבודותיהם של שישה מאייריםישראלים: אור יוגב, זאב אנגלמאיר, אור ליבנה, טל שטח, קרן שפילשר ומישלקישקה )לפי סדר הופעתם במאמר(. כל האיורים מבוססים על דוקומנטציהחדשותית מקומית ובינלאומית, עדויות שורדים וסרטונים שצילמו מחבלי חמאס.האיורים הופצו באמצעות חשבונות האינסטגרם של המאיירים, ועד מהרה הפכולוויראליים. מעיון בקורפוס נרחב של איורים זוהו שתי תמות עקרוניות, מרחביותבאופיין, השלובות זו בזו: ׳בית׳ ו׳גוף׳, כמרחבים מקבילים, מנטליים, חברתיים,סימבוליים ולאומיים. המאמר עומד גם על אסטרטגיות האיור שנקטו המאיירים:אינטרטקסטואליות — יצירה בזיקה לתצלומים תיעודיים וליצירות אמנות מוכרותמהקאנון הישראלי והמערבי; והצגת דמויות אנושיות ממשיות, שהיו אנונימיותעד לאותה שבת, כסימבול לסבל האנושי ולרוע אוניברסלי. הדימויים נותחובאמצעות כלים תאורטיים מתחומי הפסיכואנליזה, המגדר והתרבות החזותית.
