"אבא פגום"
ייצוג האבהות הישראלית "החדשה" בתרבות החזותית

המאמר עוקב אחר דימוי "האב הפגום" שהשתלט על תרבות האבהות הישראלית בעשורים האחרונים, החל מהספר אבא עושה בושות מאת מאיר שלו ובאיור יוסי אבולעפיה, ועד לקבוצת הפייסבוק הפופולרית אבא פגום. ההזדהות של אבות ישראלים עם ייצוג זה מבטאת את האמביוולנטיות שהם חווים ביחס לתפקידם ההורי, בשל הדרישות החברתיות הסותרות העומדות בפניהם: מן הצד האחד דרישה לגבריות מסורתית, מפרנסת ומגנה, ומן הצד השני דרישה למעורבות משפחתית רגישה ומטפלת. המאמר בוחן כיצד מורכבות זו מנוסחת באמצעים חזותיים על פני שלוש זירות: איורים מספרות הילדים העברית, דימויים המועלים לקבוצת הפייסבוק אבא פגום, והדיוקנאות העצמיים והמשפחתיים של האמנים בועז טל, גיא בן־נר ואסף חנוכה. הדוגמאות חושפות את תפקידה של התרבות החזותית כזירה למשא ומתן על הגדרת הזהות האבהית החדשה, המכוננת דרך ייצוגם העצמי של גברים כיום.
